Ceremony Attire and Decorum
Caps and gowns are required for all graduates. The due date to order caps and gowns in March, 2023. Please see Mr. Depa in A202 or request the link via Teams.
For the graduation ceremony, NO flowers, pins, or other decorations are to be worn on the gown. Students are not to carry any type of purse or flowers. Students cannot wear heeled shoes. Students are not allowed to use cell phones or cameras during the ceremony. Students are expected to be appropriately dressed in casual/formal attire. No jeans, gym shoes, flip-flops, or sports attire is permitted. Summa Cum Laude students will be wearing white gowns, with the rest of the graduating class in maroon.
Please remember that although graduation from high school is a source of individual joy and celebration, the actual ceremony should be viewed within the greater context of being a public gathering of friends and family. For this reason, we have high expectations for appropriate behavior during the commencement ceremony. Standing and cheering during the ceremony is not appropriate behavior. Please be considerate of all.
